Most machines do a job. This one is designed to hold a job description: mow today, and — as each module is built and tested — topdress, aerate, verticut and the rest, on the same chassis.

How it finds its way

Centimeter-class RTK-GNSS positioning, fused with LiDAR, cameras and IMU through visual SLAM. Compute happens on the machine — edge-first, so it doesn't stop thinking when the network does. Built on ROS 2, with obstacle detection, emergency braking and automatic re-routing.

Where the industry actually is: every autonomous turf machine on the market today, ours included, runs under human supervision. Full unsupervised operation is what this platform is designed for and what we intend to demonstrate — not what anyone ships today.

The machine maps every surface it works: coverage, conditions, task history. That record feeds back into how it plans the next pass — and it stays your record. Your course. Your data. Full stop.

Built like it means it

All-electric 4WD with dual-Ackermann steering — it turns like it's careful, because turf remembers careless. Wide flotation tires protect the root zone. The reel gang deploys ahead of the wheelbase on articulated arms.

Every figure on this page is an engineering design target, not a measured result. Runtime, throughput and cut-quality numbers are deliberately absent: we will publish them when they have been measured under test, and not before.

Nine out of ten courses run one maintenance shift. The turf keeps growing through the other sixteen hours. Texaroba is built to work that window — so the crew you have spends its shift on the work that needs hands and judgment.

The math that matters

It isn't that you can't hire. It's what the hours cost.

The hiring market has eased. The wage bill hasn't — and labor is still the largest controllable line on the maintenance budget. A platform that covers repetitive acreage on its own doesn't replace a crew. It moves their hours to greens work, detail work, and the craft your course is actually judged on.

The questions you're already asking

Can it actually cut fine turf, or is this another rotary box?
It carries a true reel cutting gang engineered for fairway-grade work, plus rotary for the rough. Cut-quality benchmarking against a conventional triplex reel is part of our test program. We'll publish the results, not adjectives.
What does "no one in the loop" mean here?
It's our design target: run the course start to finish, including moving itself between holes and areas, without a person operating it. To be straight with you — every autonomous turf machine on the market today, ours included, still runs under human supervision. We're building for the unsupervised case and we'll show it on film before we claim it.
What happens when it meets a golfer, a dog, or a sprinkler head?
It's designed to see them first: LiDAR, cameras and ultrasonic sensing with automatic braking and re-routing. It stops, it goes around, it doesn't get impatient.
What happens when it gets stuck?
It phones home. Remote monitoring flags it, and your dealer sees the same telemetry you do. Machines get stuck sometimes — the question is how fast somebody knows.
Who owns the data it collects on my course?
You do. Course maps, task history and telemetry belong to the course. We use fleet-level learnings to improve the platform; your property stays your property.
What does it cost?
Pricing is set with our dealers, and we're not going to quote a number on a website before the machine is in the field. It's a six-figure-class capital purchase with a subscription behind it, and it's sold as a fleet, not a single unit. Your dealer will walk the math with you.

A surveyor's mark, not a robot logo

A benchmark disc is the marker sunk into the ground to fix the point everything else is measured from. That's the job we're asking this platform to do on a golf course — leave the ground measured.

Targets are labeled targets. On this site, a figure is either sourced and dated, or it is a design target and says so. When field testing completes, measured values will carry a MEASURED mark with source and date. That's our claims policy, checkable line by line.
